Cette belle voix n'est pas sans sensualité - Son style est résolument "cool" mais sans mièvrerie - La rythmique serrée et les sonorités chaudes des instruments sont intéressants. Une belle douceur un peu espiègle dans un monde de brutes.

On peut ne pas aimer le genre "crooner" de Tony Bennett - On ne peut toutefois nier sa musicalité, surtout accompagné par Bill Evans - Le lyrisme et une réelle authenticité sont alors au rendez-vous. Merci à George de m'avoir faire découvrir cet album émouvant.

Tony Bennett's crooner style my be perceived as a little bit annoying... However his musicality is evident, especially with the presence of a giant like Bill Evans. Lyricism and authenticity are here to provide a deep emotion. Thank you to George for this discovery.

With a sort of strange mix of bass tone and whiny voice, Abbey Lincoln can be recognized at the very first seconds of any song. Her typical phrasing and vibrato contribute to raise her as the great Jazz Ladies. Outstanding participation of Stan Getz.  One of the greatest album of the beautiful "Top Hart" Lady.
